In a classroom both the teacher and the student are engaged in the learning process. To maximize potential of the student, the practices of the educator to promote inquiry and active engagement are factors that are as critical as the motivation of the student to learn. As such, instruction design should be very cognizant of the learners’ profile – academic readiness, cultural values and personal interests to productively alter curriculum and instruction strategies in real time.
